iHeartRadio Music Festival

Doesn’t matter what iheart station I’m on, I’ve heard the song 100 times and I do not want to hear it again. Even if it’s not my genre, it’s interesting to hear something totally new sounding. Plus, guaranteed there will be something new I’ve never listened to. Third reason, they play more than 40 songs. I always listen through their commercial breaks. All the ads are for really small local businesses too, some that my friends run.

Like did they even listen to the album a few times or did they just cover their eyes and throw a dart at the back of the album? If by chance I haven’t actually heard it, it seems like it’s been picked by someone who hates music or at least has no idea what sounds good for the genre they are picking from. Bizarre I know, turns out there are more than 40 songs per genre. We did recently get a pirate radio station. Why when Foo Fighters came out with a new album a few years ago our station ONE song from that album repeatedly, and it was the most milquetoast unexciting song that was on the album?

Simple, when I tune in, good chance it’ll actually be music. That’s the only station not owned by iHeart here. That money would have been better used hiring interesting local personalities for the stations, not buying some rich person his fifth vacation home. I have never worked in radio, I am confident I would run that company better than those morons who just keep shooting themselves in the foot. Every single station they own (which is ALL of them in my town) synchronizes their commercials.
